Well, I just realized how long it has been since I’ve posted anything, we’ve probably lost all of our readers.  Sorry for the long wait.  I figured while my little girl is taking her afternoon snooze, I would sit her by our lit Christmas tree (yes, lit at 4 in the afternoon because it is dark and dreary outside today) and smell my chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies baking while I catch everyone up, in the briefest way possible.

Laney is now four months old, she’ll be 5 months this week.  She is no longer a little baby, that is for sure.  She weighed 16 pounds at her doctor appointment two weeks ago and came in at 26 1/2 inches long, she is in the 97% for her height and the 85% for her weight. The doctor told us she was well proportioned…hahahahaha.  Developmentally she is moving right along.  She isn’t crazy about her belly so when we put her on her belly she grunts and groans and eventually will roll herself back onto her back.  She LOVES to see what is going on and to play with her mommy and daddy that’s why I don’t think she likes to be on her belly.  She LOVES to stand up and if she can be taller than you, she just grins from ear to ear.  Sean will lay down on his back and stand her up on his belly and she just smiles!  SO FUNNY!  After she gets her diaper changed I stand her up on her changing table, she LOVES that too because she can stare at me eye to eye.

She’s a great sleeper and just this week she has started going right to sleep when we lay her down, I can only hope that this continues!  It makes bedtime and naptimes so much easier and more enjoyable.

She’s eating baby food now, she’s been on cereal for about a month and we just started baby food, she LOVES it, so fun to feed her.  Although I can’t believe how much extra work it is to feed a baby baby food, I kind of wish we could revert back to just milk.  hehe, sorry that’s the selfish mommy in me.

She really is SUCH a great baby!  I never could’ve ever imagined that it would be this easy and this much fun!  I LOVE being a mom and one of my favorite things to do is watch her and her daddy play together or cuddle together.  There is just no better image than that.  My new favorite noise in the whole world is her giggle and we will do just about anything to hear her giggle.
